Of course you will be overwhelmed at first because of how many knobs there are, I used to be just like you too. There are tons of tutorials online, especially for Hamor, since SeamlessR, who's a Harmor enthusiast, has made hundreds of videos to explain the plugin.
The best way to learn how those commercial sounds are made is too download their presets and solve the mysteries using reverse engineering. That's how I learned about Massive.
What I'm trying too say is, don't be too afraid to expose yourself to complicated engines, because the simpler ones can never allow your tracks to reach their potential. You obviously have an advantage thanks to your understanding of music theories, now you just need to work on the technical side a bit, then everything should go your way always
yeah I just watched like 3 parts of SeamlessR's harmor tutorial series
although he tends to be incredibly technical at times I think he breaks it down nicely, now it doesn't seem too hard wew
definitely gonna work on learning how2harmor now
also downloading presets sounds like a gr8 idea that i never thought about, good advice
