Chord progressions are patterns for chords. For example, the simplest is C, F, G, or with roman numerals, I, IV, V. It's based on what scale, so chord progressions work for every scale when you use the roman numerals. This is the simplest description.
If you were a bloon, wouldn't you rather be popped then wither away into an undignified husk? Since bloons can't talk, I'll guess we never know.
