Here is a quick little segment that I wrote since it's been so long since the last time I made an addition to my poem storage bin :/

The War

She didn’t win the war
Her story was never told
She tried
She cried
She lied
She loved
But in the end

She broke
She tore
And Piece
By
Piece
She fell away


He couldn’t stop that feeling
He never stopped pretending
His stories grow
Spreading their branches
Simply to fill the cracks inside him
He tried
He cried
She
Gave
Him

Everything

He loved
He lied
And in the end
He broke her
She tore
And Piece
By
Piece
They fell apart
She faded away
And the war was over
