To be honest, I like this feature, even if it would cause havoc I would like to see it implemented as an experiment for at least 2-3 days to see what happens. But I feel like this would follow the route of reputation points on OS.
The reputation point system was similar to this idea, but OS users would be able to give +1 or -1 points that would ultimately determine if this user was subjectively good, or bad. But this system was easily abused and people would spam users with -1 or +1.

These are the highest ranked users in terms of OS Reputation points
Jacob_ - 17
LucentTear - 137
Syntax - 53
Lopyt - 52
XStep - 44
