At first, I just made it for fun, but then I found out this thread existed

I can see this working if you repeat the synth melody you wrote and add a simple kick snare drum pattern with 909 or 808 drums.  if you want to add bass you could use the pattern A for a whole measure, then F, D, C. add rhythm and intricacy as you like
