So I am supposed to combine music genres or what? I'm really confused. Desert music? idk

So world music is when a western song genre (The Americas) gets combined with other music genres ( everywhere except The Americas)
like desert music combined with rock, or another example is rock with pop music.

What I said is slightly wrong but it is actually considered world fusion which is a sub genre of world music and it still counts as world music.
Pop is western music. (I need to triple check next time.)
