The synthesizer in my song sounds weird

One way to fix this could be to go into advanced settings, then to the synthesizer tab, then decrease the sustain (S) to the bottom and increase the delay (D) to the top. You can then mess around further with them to get the exact sound you want, if you like.

It didn't do anything.
It sounded the exact same- I had everything except sustain all the way down, and sustain was all the way up, which created that "fade out" effect.
