With this error you should restart your computer, as suggested by another member, it may be a temporary fix, but it seems that further investigation is needed as this feature seems to be a bug affecting the MIDI input function, preventing notes from loading properly.

It's a recurring issue, seeing as your response is a year late. I recently imported midi songs that were not prepared in OS and it went well, so I'm not sure what the cause is.
