Give the mods a break

this is a response to LucentTear's public service announcement

the chat has fallen down into a hole and sometimes its hard to get out of it. At least don't blame the mods for the problems we all help to start. Don't be so rude to the mods when they try to do there job and in turn act kindly. this site has many "fragile" people (cough "HAZZA" cough) they may come here to yell at something/someone, if they are shown hate, they will give hate. we all are the problem but that doesn't mean that we cant fix it together. Also it may chase away newbs. hate+hate=hate, but hate+kindness=kindness. so please make the chat better and dont blame it on the mods.

@lucent. I found your PSA to be a bit harsh and rude. I'm suggesting a change in the tone of your writing.

I'm fairly certain that the tone of the original post was supposed to be harsh and aggressive. "Uncensored soliloquy" kind of implies that. The purpose of the post was to get people's attention, and it did its job. And I'm afraid it's not as simple as hate+kindness=kindness. That's a really naive way to think about things. Often times, when people are hateful, and you're nice back, it just makes them angrier. Sure, being hateful back doesn't help things, but "being nice" doesn't fix everything. Everyone should just make their music and shut the hell up if they don't have anything constructive to say. Everyone being pissy all the damn time (including myself) is stressful for the mods because they have to diffuse the situation. I've taken to not talking period if what I'm about to say isn't gonna be constructive. For once, I can say that my action should be mirrored. This chat wouldn't be the eighth circle of hell all the time if people knew when to shut their *****ing mouths once in a damn while.

Big Boi is one of the prime examples of what to not do on the OS chat. No offense to him, but he doesn't know when to shut up about annoying stuff that doesn't matter. He hasn't gotten muted surprisingly.

It all depends. Hey what do you think of my sequence, the earth is flat, or man Void is probably hot, are three different types of chats that can be considered spamming in one way, and okay in others. I am fine with the ruling that the mods decide, Just know we appreciate what you do
