Even when I kept changing my mind on making a classic style video game I still enjoyed making the music.

I personally would use LMMS and Viena to do soundfont stuff. Viena can make soundfonts from samples and LMMS can render a midi to them and do tweaks. To actually make midis... I heard LMMS is good for that but Online Sequencer is what I use because I know it better.

*FL Studio costs money, which is why I don't use it Wink The invisible hand, am I right?

Like, I can't say much about the ancient times (or any years before the Common Era/CE/AD), as my research has not been able to find any modern sweets/desserts in ancient times. Even the oldest texts available are lacking as far as the mentioning the names of special foods/sweet goods.
(However, I would still suggest that you research about this, as the ancient Greeks and ancient Romans and Egyptians may have had special culinary treats/desserts at some time or another.)

But basic research indicates that modern desserts have roots at least starting in the 9th century, which gives you a huge timeline to work with, as well as a large variety of cultures associated with each food item (which, in turn, would mean you have a ton of different styles of music that you could incorporate into the game), this ranging from about the years 800 to 3000 AD! (Give or take quite a few years!)

Also can this time machine travel through space perchance? If so I'd recommend looking at this.

Huh? I never said anything about ancient times, just 4721 which has no desserts and then the 20th century to the 31st century is where Matilda will go to get desserts. And what do you mean about the time machine going through space?
