Suggestion for adding a equalizer for OS and such

I'd like to suggest an equalizer for OS, so you can enchant your sequencer more, adding more dramatic feeling with more realistic sound instruments. When i use the cello and violin on TuxGuitar to turn it into kinda upgraded version, it doesn't sounds quite right as i expect..Anyway, i just want to ask if it's possible to upgrade the instruments a bit and making them sound a lot more realistic than usual?.
