I disagree, one instrument songs are usually incredibly boring, because there is no timbre shift. The only examples I can think of that don't suck are one synth songs

it sounds bad, period. i think you should use the key feature and maybe add some different instruments. most new people tend to use one instrument, and if you wanna stand out then add multiple ones!
