That can be worked around while preserving back-compatibility. Either add sustain control as an option (say with a button) or have a mirrored list of separate instruments.

But this "pseudo-sustain" wouldn't work with a harpsichord, for example, would it?
I get the point, but this example is hilarious because harpsichords are known for their lack of sustain and dynamic control.

Not if I'm using true OS spirit and trying to make a clavinet by pitching a harpsi. Wink
