Recently I had this idea of using GitHub as a repository to hold and store free VSTs, a DAW, and MIDI.

If I think about it, it might allow for you to be able to work on the same song in different areas, push the repo, and see if it changes and has no clashes.

I haven't tested it yet but if it works, we might have a new method of collaboration on our hands.

Let me know what you guys think.

Ooh sounds like a cool idea! Were you going to fork Ardour or something? Or make a new DAW?

Would there be a way to build in linux and mac support into certain plugins?
