I had this idea of a new instrument that would just simply be called "guitar", it's just a simple clean electric guitar, but like the synthesizer, it would have its own tab in the instrument settings menu. This tab would allow you to add different types and levels of distortion, fuzz, reverb, delay and other effects like ring mod, flanger, boost. It would basically be a digital guitar pedalboard. It would probably be nearly impossible to code though.

Not impossible to code but why limit these effects to just a guitar instrument? It would be more useful to just add these effects to everything. I canprovide guitar samples if you want

I have a guitar.
I can provide samples.
How many notes would I need to record and to whom would I give them to?

Well we don't know if they'll be added yet, ultimately thats up to Jacob_ to decide. There are 72 notes on OS, which I believe is more than a guitar has

In standard tuning, a guitar has 47 notes. I could record harmonics to fill up some of the others and also retune the guitar to get some higher and lower notes.
