You know what would be a cool addition to online sequencer? The option to either:

  1. "Group" multiple instruments together that you're using to make the sound of another instrument (like the accordion). You would be able to go in and edit the individual settings for each instrument in the group, but you could also group them as a "new instrument" where you could add effects/distortion/etc to the group of instruments (seperate from the settings for each. It would be on top of that) as well as select them in the sequencer as one group so you don't have to deal with selecting each instrument individually. I'm thinking it would be similar to how cloning an instrument creates a new instrument in the list, except grouping the instruments would create a placeholder instrument that could have effects added to it and could be selected and modified like an actual instrument could be. Rather than have the "instrument name" be the list of the instruments in the group, users could rename it like they can with other instruments. Instead, to show which instruments are included in the group, there could be a symbol (similar to how there's a circle of the instrument's color on each instrument) for each instrument in the group, or another color option added for those instruments in the group, to distinguish them (users would be able to select the color for each instrument as they normally would, but once that instrument is added to a group, the color of each instrument would be striped with the color assigned to the placeholder instrument for the group). Users should also be able to add and remove instruments from the group at any time, instead of having to delete the previous group to make a new one with the instrument they want to add to the group.
  2. The option to change the tuning of an instrument (ex: the tuning used for Baroque music). Either add specific tunings that people can select and choose from in the settings for each instrument, or add a hertz slider on top of the detune slider in the advanced settings. Or add the option for users to change the hertz of a specific note on the sequencer, like how you can do that with the volume by selecting the note in the sequence and using shortcuts to change that specific note's volume.

They aren't new instruments themselves, but the implementation of these options to the website could create the opportunity for a lot more sounds and styles of music to be experimented with, used, and heard.

@l3en
Right, I know you can do that, but it's not the same as the hertz for the instrument. Notes A4 and B4 do not have the same difference in hertz between them as B4 and C4 do. There could be only a difference of 26 hertz between one, and 27 between the other.

Also on top of that the detune slider uses 100 as equaling a full note detuned, while 26 could be a full note difference when referring to hertz.
