Favorite days in history (without telling why)?

Yes, I know I already did this in chat, but I wanna expand.

The rules are:

1. You say (at least) one of your favorite days in history. In addition, you can say some of your least favorites, but you can't tell the reason it's your favorite or least favorite.
   
2. The next person has to guess the reason.
   
3. Repeat.
   

Favorite is always placed over least favorite; and if you have multiple, preferably place them in chronological order. (sorry for the big boy words)
an example would be:

January 27, 1756; November 11, 1918; April 5, 2011
December 5, 1791; April 15, 1865; April 20, 1889

Oct*ber 17, 1849

[Typical]

March 1, 1810 Beethoven was born (favorite day)
October 17, 1849 Beethoven died (least favorite)
