movement 2:
- ego vir videns paupertatem meam
i am the man who has seen affliction under the rod of his wrath; he has driven and brought me into darkness without any light. surely against me he turns his hand again and again the whole day long, and leads me to the shade of death.

movement 3:
- recordare domine quid acciderit nobis
remember, o lord, what has befallen us; behold, and see our disgrace! consider and look heartfeltly upon our disgraces and afflictions to your holy self. convert us, o lord, turn us to your unmoved hand! none but you, in our past and future days and nights, in ours and our future generations. permanently redeem us, o lord!
