Improve Search Bar

I find it quite annoying that I can only type in 12 characters max into the search bar for sequences. I have to go change it in inspect every time I want to search mostly any song. So, if I can change it in inspect, then surely it would not be too hard for the owners(s?) to change it.

I even went the page source and found the specific attribute that would need to be changed

Simply change the 12 to a really high number, or simply get rid of the attribute altogether. I find this problem annoying, but easy to fix. I don't know if there's a reasoning behind it, maybe it's just because 12+ characters won't fit in the bar, but I don't think it really matters. If the characters go beyond the bar, then it will simply move along to see the text. Not a very big deal.

I agree. It shouldn't be too hard to do, and it would really benefit the searcher's results.

Jacob_, can you also give the options for an "and" search as well as an "or" search? Because it's really annoying to search two words and realize it gives you A or B instead of A and B together.

Gonna be a bother but give us the option to search "Untitled" too. Being able to look through 500,000+ Untitled only sequences would make my day.

I agree with this: with the current search engine, the narrowest search is one word. If all the words in your sequence are very common (e.g. "Take On Me") you'll find it difficult to get relevant results.

Also, there are some words that just don't seem to turn up any results. Three-letter words seem to be one example, probably why the "Key" search didn't really work. Function words seem to be another. Good luck searching for the sequence "What About Us". Please fix this!

I'm saying it to keep it at Jacob_'s attention. Someone even wrote a rant that makes my rant look like another rant. So it is not just me.
