A dictionary defines the word 'pompous' as:
1. excessively elevated or ornate
2. having or exhibiting self-importance

Jacob, I'm not sure I understand the link between 'pompous' and 'elitist'.

I was commenting on the impression I get of people who copy and paste definitions from a dictionary into posts on and internet forum. Tounge

Did you also see how I said that people who have been on here for over 1 year OMG GET A LIFE. I doubt that's a compliment too. Also this is half satire.

He's arguing for semantics of the term "elitist" rather than arguing if it's a compliment for someone or not.

Elite people (in the term of high status) + ist =/= elitists (term for people who are hypocritical towards things that aren't ___.)

Anyone can get the joke that someone has no life, but elitist needs to be a properly used term since throwing it around can cause a lot of misunderstandings.

Anyway, the purpose of my posts of the definitions of the words "elite" and "elitism" was to provide clarity between the meanings of the 2 words, and as a reference for my next comment/s.
LucentTear provided a basic explanation of the word "elitists"; it is incorrect.
The proper definition of it is what I already posted in this thread.
As LucentTear stated in her post, "but elitist needs to be a properly used term since throwing it around can cause a lot of misunderstandings."
The purpose of my post is to reduce misunderstandings, as was the intended purpose of the post by LucentTear.

hmmm xstep isn't listed as one of the kings...

he also didn't technically have any songs in A-class despite having multiple in S...

Looks like he's a Fallen B-class!
