Would a decreased polyphony for instruments help speed up the website?

It would decrease the 1000000 note crap if nothing else

that seems like it would damage things as they are more than help imo. i kinda get the hate towards the 'songs' where people are mostly just drawing stuff with notes but this is too drastic of a thing to change imo

I am thinking maybe 100, 200 notes at a time per instrument
