What do you hate in music?

I hate how there is an end to every composition. You often leave one song behind after listening to it on loop for about 4 times. It's often really sad.

i should rephrase that. "garbage" is subjective, this was meant for people who make super technical stuff, but still see their own music in retrospect as garbage. i mean when people get caught up making something a certain way, just because they think that they, for whatever reason, HAVE to, and then they end up making something that they themselves don't even enjoy.

i see so many people that get way too self-conscious about very specific aspects of their music, often to the point of tunnel-vision, thinking they need to change it in order for it to "be worthy" and they end up burning themselves out making music that by their own standards is never good enough.

i think it's fine if people make super technical stuff, if they really have a passion for it and like the way it turns out. i just dont like this notion that everyone should strive to be like that, and if they dont, theyre just not trying hard enough. i think it's very toxic, and damaging to the art at it's core

Yeah that happened to me when I tried to write an album. I had a very specific style in mind but when I tried to make it, it didn't really work I ended up quitting on that because it just left me burnt out and, still I am a bit burnt out months later. 

If you are writing music, write what you feel, not what you think. Chances are its going to sound a lot better. (That being said, never give up trying out new things and experimentation)

I really hate how fucking generic every song is and those are the ones that get attention, and uniqueness is almost completely disregarded.
