how many of you read sheet music? do you like to use it for transcribing stuff down onto OS or vice versa(use OS to help put things on sheet music)? personally i like to write stuff down first but i dont really compose on here lol. jw if that helps anyone or not

point is, i need a new approach to teaching the little kids how to read sheet music so i was wondering if this could be a good resource. wyt?

Piano roll is easier to understand than sheet music, for its much easier to see intervals and timing, so you may be able to use it to help people visually understand sheet music better. I am no teacher though

Sheet music is more of an optimized, compressed language that can fit much much more on a single piece of paper, to me
