There's, like, no option for 6/8, the most common time sig outside of 4/4 and 3/4. I have to use the 1/3 and 1/6 grid on 2/4 for everything. Maybe a custom time sig option for the people who like weird time signatures like 10/16 (uhhhhh... not me), but we can't rely on 4 time signatures for everything.

for 6/8 specifically, you can set the grid to 1/2, double the bpm, and set your time sig to 3/4, just do some math

I'm not that dumb. I know that I could do that. I do 1/3 grid on 2/4 because 6/8 is notated almost the same as 2/4 in triplets. This is why you learn to read sheet music. I would do your suggestion if I wanted 6/4.

well time sigs can only be x/4 on onlinesequencer
in the console, you can do the command setTimeSig(x)

i dont remember the exact post but i remember jacob or someone else said time signatures can only be x/4 because of the way OS is coded, idk
